The Blood Moons and Israel's Feasts - Updated One

Co-authored by Deglet OvroscoCo-authored by Paladin We greatly anticipated the appearance of the first of the tetrad. For both of us, it was our first lunar eclipse and obviously our first Blood Moon. Since we live in the Pacific Time zone, we didn't have to wake up in the middle of the night to view this awesome and very rare celestial event. Instead we sat outside of respective homes and watched from 11:30PM onward.

The skies were tetrad free from years 1600 - 1900. In 1949 and 1950 (the birth of the State of Israel) and 1967 and 1968 (Israel recovered their rightful control of their historic capitol, Jerusalem). Now in 2014-2015, we have another with each following on a Hebrew holiday. The first Blood Moon occurred on April 15, 2014 (Feast of Passover / Feast of Unleavened Bread) is a full eclipse. The second one will occur October 8, 2014 (Feast of Tabernacles) and it also is a full eclipse. The third Blood Moon is a partial eclipse and it will occur April 4, 2015 (Feast of Passover / Feast of Unleavened Bread), and finally the fourth one will occur September 28, 2015 (Feast of Tabernacles).

So why is this so important ? These Bible verses come to mind when discussing Blood Moons:

The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and terrible day of the Lord arrives. Joel 2:31 (Before Jesus' crucifixion)

The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the Lord arrives. Acts 2:20 (After Jesus' crucifixion)

I watched as the Lamb broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as dark as black cloth, and the moon became as red as blood. Revelation 6:12

We know the day Jesus, the Jewish Messiah was crucified, the sun in Jerusalem had turned black for three hours starting at noon. This appearance of darkness is due to the earth doing a wobble. We also know that when the moon rose that evening in an eclipse, it was a Blood Moon.

Two people have asked Paladin the other day if the Blood Moons means anything. One went on to ask this, "Is the world coming to an end ?" Our answer is, we don't know. What we do know is 1) we know where we stand in our relationship with God through Jesus the Son of God, 2) many things have occurred to the Jewish people, the State of Israel, and other events that are subject to prophecy have occurred during Blood Moons, and 3) God created the Heavens and He is using it to talk to His human creation. We highly recommend you read Barry Setterfield's articles on the Blood Moons, the Gospel in the Stars, and the Bethlehem Star to be a more informed person as we are.
